Bob Venero Radio Interview (94.3 WMJC)

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

This week Bob Venero did an exclusive interview with 94.3 WMJC. (Long Island Radio Station) Please check the clip below. As Robert Venero mentions in the interview, he is working out regularly, avoiding carbohydrates, and has the capabilities to remain tough in a long bout as he noted that he used to be a wrestler. I’ve been following Venero’s workout log on www.bobthehitman.com and it’s apparent that he’s putting time into training. Since the website has launched, Bob has updated the log every day. (including today which is a Sunday!) While Bob is turning into a fighting machine, Michael Lohan’s whereabouts are unknown. Perhaps Michael Lohan is keeping is training regimen to himself? Either way, knowing that your opponent is working hard should be intimidating.

Radio DJ: “Are you nervous about losing, looking bad, have you thought about these possibilities?”

Bob Venero: “My name ends in a vowel and not coming there to lose.”

The Humanitarian Hitman has spoken.

Press Release Pictures

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

Below are a few shots taken from the press release last week.   For the photo shoot, Bob Venero began using blue colored gloves, then made the transition to yellow for the rest of the pictures. (Weird!)  The pictures show Robert Venero and Michael Lohan acting friendly toward one another, however some live sparring did take place where it got rough and both men needed to be seperated.  Bob Venero is training with Tony Fortunato, ( former professional boxer and owner) at The Eye of the Tiger Boxing Club in Wyandanch.  Bob’s serious about his training regimen and intends to incorporate “technology” into his workout routine.  Lohan on the other hand, appears more distracted as he’s eating up the media attention with his buddy Stephen Baldwin. (celebrity judge)  My money is on Bob Venero based on the fact that he started a technology company (from his basement!) and grew it into a $100 million dollar empire.  If he had the dedication to do that, training for this charity event should reflect a similar work ethic while Michael Lohan is relying on his “seven years martial arts experience”.  Nonetheless, this is an important fight for both contenders.
